Ron Kusse Elfin Bamboo Fly Rod 6'3" 2/2 #4 8'9" The shaft is lettered "LA Ron Kusse Elfin model bamboo fly rod, 6'3", 2 piece, 2 tip, and built for a #4 line. Serial 0622. The rod weighs 2. 8 ounces on my scale (the hang tag lists it as 1 7 8). The rod is in mint and uncast condition. It appears to be an impregnated model. Fast action. Flamed cane with darker mottling. The wraps are brown with some build up of epoxy on the wraps. Black stripper, snakes, and tip tops. The step ferrules are oxidized and have a tiny "Kusse"
