so that it’s hard to tell whether the song or the dissonant scree of sound is the main thing

blasting out totally agitated lyrics the whole time

The album reeks of youth and sweat and boundless energy, sure they weren't playing the most complicated songs around but they were damned tight and each and every member is extremely talented. Definitely one of the best albums of the '70s and one of the best from The Clash, an absolute must for anyone even kinda curious.
