Excellent overall condition with a fine patina throughout and free of any major defects. One side of the foot has been chopped slightly, but that's about it. The reel turns nicely and makes a nice loud click. "Forrests Patent Drag" is lightly engraved in the winding plate opposite the ivorine handle. A nice early example of a classic salmon winch.
