To assess the associations of semaglutide with recurrent AUD, the study population comprised 22,113 patients who had active medical encounters for T2DM diagnosis in 12/20175/2021, were for the first time prescribed semaglutide or non-GLP1-1RA anti-diabetes medications during 12/20175/2021(index event), had a diagnosis of AUD on or before the index event, and had a diagnosis of at least one of obesity-associated comorbidities on or before the index event
Additional contributing factors include reduced food and fluid intake
