The third tip was built at a later date, evident by the fact that the cane appears slightly lighter (due to the curing of the varnish) and was glued using resorcinol, Pinky's glue of choice later in his career. I've inspected the two original tips closely and no repairs are evident. The rod is serial no. 618. The ferrules on the
