Fast action. 5. 3 oz. The original owners name and the date of April 1953 are both inked on the rod. The rod appears to be mint. I see no sign of brassing to the inner guides. Very powerful rod for a 7 weight and should cast a country mile. The cane is flamed with dark patches. Nodes are two opposed. The main wraps are a bronze gold color. Guides are high
