I like these two as a pair for the array of birds represented--an owl and what looks to me like some bird of a prey on the top one

I had thought it was Chinese

but pretty exquisite I think

and the exterior features intricately incised designs in black and cinnabar

(I see a sort of Moholy Nagy radio tower at top, and two kneeling figures that are also pure geometry at lower right).
