A bit of research leads me to believe that most if not all were made from a kit of Strombecker Steam Locomotives dating to the 1920s or 30s

presumed to be either Chinese or Korean

I believe it dates to the first half of the 20th century

just hang it on the wall in the kitchen

Octagonal Pressed Metal Antique Pill Box antique Persian vase with bird A bit of research leadsI believe this sweet little pressed metal octagonal shaped box is probably tin, and I think it would have been used as a pill box. It has different patterns on top and bottom and then all the way around the sides, and a nice hook closure at front and hinge on back. On the sides are loops, suggesting that it would have been hung from something and worn, and certainly it could be again! 1 7 8" diameter x 5 8" deep. There are a few small bends in the
