It really did take me a mirror to decipher the backwards writing on this old wooden t-square

which have a really nice object-hood

and a couple of deeper gouges on one area of one side

but not this one

(I also bought a ship in a "bottle" with the bottle actually a hollowed out lightbulb.) Quite a delicately carved nude, and I really love the ambiguity of it I believe she is actually meant to be lying down, as if her head resting on a pillow (and with her right breast pulled by gravity in that direction, but then I think the carver was quite attached
