Charming Little 19th C. Naive Lion Drawing in Period Frame 18th century wrought iron Brown was its first ownerThis old hand drawn lion looks as if it must have been inspired by a heraldic one, but how much better naively rendered in what looks to be a mix of crayon and graphite, with black ink for the eyes. Marvelous folky face, and those huge paws with what look like a few extra toes really do it for me! With "lion" written in ink at lower left, making me think most likely this was a school drawing. 5 7 16"x 4 3 8" framed. Sold in the period frame I found it
