I have to think the subject was wandering about nearby as this was made

and penciling around 1972

which can also be worn as a necklace pendant

C. 1830s Ink Silhouette of Woman in Original Frame wooden dog brooch It features two wooden boxersThe frame (with pretty little acorn at top holding a hanging ring) tells me that this inked silhouette dates to the 1830s or so, though probably once held glass, which is long gone. Thus, there is wear and aging to the painting and paper, including some loss to what appears to have been gold painted details on her hair and bodice. I kind of like the effect, lending it some extra aura, but with her quite prominent nose still very clearly pronounced!
