That is the design offered here and which is part of an idea I'm hoping to be able to pursue every year or so -- to take a design I've been contemplating and be able to prototype

At some point in the rod's life the reel seat hardware was replaced by a prior owner and Hoagy subsequently restored it to original with authentic Garrison components from the 1930s

It is a Pattern 10B reel 3 1 2". Excellent condition, both cosmetically and mechanically. The red agate is un cracked and one of the most beautiful ones I've ever seen. No wobble or end play. Crazed erinoid handle that spins freely. Every part of the reel is original. Foot is not filed.
